I've had a few questions from people asking how to put their skins into DragFactor, so listed below is an outline on how to set your SKIN up

YOUR SKIN
STEP-1
Lets assume you've painted up a livery for the 57 Chev and all you're going to do is change the the body, glass and wing. if you dont plan on changing any other textures for this car then start by navigating to the blue highlighted folder below, TB1221skins (A). this is where the body texture needs to go......TB1221myskinname.dds ,(C) as well as...... TB1221myskinname.txt,(D) this file displays the name of your team and the painter of the skin when you click on your skin in game

STEP-2
Ok, we have the body in the proper place, now lets take care of the other 2 textures, the wing and glass. start by navigating to the blue highlighted folder below, Misc(B) . this is where the glass and the wing textures need to go......TB1221myskinnamewing.dds (E) as well as......TB1221myskinnamewindow.dds(F)

IN GAME
Now click on the "Skins" button to display a list of any skins associated with the car, in window (G) . Window (H) displays the contents of your text file i spoke of earlier. When you click on your skin, the textures in the "Misc" folder are loaded as well because they carry the same team name.
Now you can go..............Drag Racing

Need the nVidia Photoshop Plugin to save your skins in .dds format........ CLICK HERE

YOUR TEAM
Ok, in this section we'll look at creating an entire team. you may be able to join a league that allows members to submit to a "skinpack" for a seasons racing, following these guidelines will enable you to really let your hair down and come up with your individual racing team.

STEP-1
Lets assume you've chosen the 67-68 Chevy Camaro as your car of choice, navigate to the Camaro Teams folder, when your there create a NEW folder with the name you want your team to be, for now, i'm going to use My Team signified by the (B) in the pic below

STEP-2
The base files we'll use for this example will be the Mark Belleri files, so click on the Lucky Belleri folder (1)and select all his files (2), now right click and select Copy
Pic-2

STEP-3
Now highlight the My Team folder, right click it and select paste. now you have some files to work with

Pic-3

STEP-4
Now, we need to make these files YOUR files, to do this we need to re-name them, i've chosen MT001.
MT for My Team and i've chosen the number 1 as my number. of course the skins in this

are still those of Mark Belleri, most of them can be left 'as is'. when you paint you livery, save your body as MT001.dds, so it overwrites the one in the folder, your windows as MT001window.dds
and the same for all the other skins you paint, make sure you overwrite the ones already in the folder

Pic-4

STEP-5
This is relatively straight forward, just fill in your own details, use pic5 as a guide

Pic-5

STEP-6
Ok, the .VEH file. basically what your doing here is simply substituting Mark Belleri's details with your own, once again use the pic as a guide

Pic-6

STEP-7
Ok, click the folder highlighted by the letter (F) now you will see the list of files on the right. double-click belleri.gen
. this file should open in notepad, if not then assign it to open in a text editor of some kind. once open, without editing the file in any way at all, simply save it as myteam.gen
. now do the same for the other 3 files, remembering all your doing is substituting myteam for belleri' if you would prefer to copy these 4 files to another folder, rename them,
and drag them back, then by all means do so

Pic-7

Thats it, all done. when you run DragFactor you team should be in the list on the left, if not, then you may need to go over the steps again. happy racing
